The slide show is the five faces of a box that I made. Four of the sides are of masks and the fifth is a human.Just like the mug. I rolled out multiple pieces of clay, cut the into squares, drew the design and attached them together. Some of the designs like the Spirited Away and Soul Eater mask aren't flat. Using the loop tool, I carved out some of the areas like the eyes and mouth. Yes, the bottom circle of the Soul Eater mask is the mouth. By using form the masks look 3D, as if you could just pop it off and wear it. I wanted to create my own merchandise just for the fun of it, I'm glad that we get freedom on our choices so I made sure to take advantage of it.

This is a mug with a design of Deadpool. You might not be able to see it but there are katana (sword) handles on both sides. In order to make this mug I had to learned how to make a handle and make the outer part of the mug. The technique or how to make it was called soft slab where you have to roll out a huge piece of clay and then slip and score the ends. While making the 3D design I had to make sure that it had form. The Deadpool has height width and depth, he and his katanas pop off the mug getting ready to fight while making jokes and references. Form is used to make art look 3D instead of flat 2D. It can be used to create something meaningful by making things and being able to differentiate between them because of their for.
What you see is many different coils attached together on a small pinch pot base. It starts with horizontal coils at the bottom, with the ends being able to join. Next is multiple short coils that have a lot of width. On top are spiral coils with around layer of short horizontal coils to keep the surface flat. At the top are three vertical coils with a final layer of horizontal coils to connect them. I learned how to make coils that have the same thickness and same size. Shape was mostly involved with making the pot because I had to make sure that most coils looked the same and had the same size. I created this coil pot to represent roman columns. They look like multiple vertical coils are hlding up horizontal coils which is what is happening at the top of the pot.
I have created a pinch that looks like a panda with one ear. Since there was no black glaze I used a dark blue color. There is a crescent moon on the panda's forehead, resembling the moon on Luna's forehead from the show Sailor Moon. By making this panda, I learned how to make a good pinch pot and the proper way of slipping and scoring. Texture was used in the panda by creating indents on the surface to resemble fur. You can see bumps and dents in the picture. The reason I created this was because I wanted to create art with hidden references so that every time I think about it I smile. I make pieces that I will enjoy just by looking at it.
This is a self-portrait of me using charcoal. I made the portrait by taking a picture of myself and then copying it to the best of my ability. This portrait uses shading techniques to make different areas different shades. The reason different colors had to be used to because of my skin color having different shades and reflections in the light. Shading uses value because it shows where something is lighter or darker. I can use these techniques to make pictures that capture where there are different amounts of light like landscapes scenes or simple objects.
What you can easily see: a giant head wearing a mask with bacon coming out the side, a smiling moon, a giant steaming burrito, a whale with big lips and a giant foot with poke ball and flower tattoo in a desert. What is blurry starting from bottom left: a bottle labeled "Drink me", an archway that can teleport you to the archway at the top, a curly hair wig next to the burrito, I think the rectangle right next to it is a shadow because I didn't draw anything there. The eyeball has a spiral pattern and the path is continued inside the mask, there are trees and flowers in the mask and below a headless women as if they were standing on the path. In the bottom middle area of the face are 2 cherries for a mouth. The head is being held up by some stands which are at the bottom right, near them is a fallen cup while the shading above the bacon is a pool of juice. Above the juice is a fallen man with an ice shaped head smiling at you. Later on the path is a tombstone with "RIP LOL LMFAO" with a stick figure skiing nearby. Up ahead is a box that says
This is a drawing of the word "Fanatsy". Incorporated in the letters are a mermaid's tail, an energy sword from Halo, a peacock tail, a feathered wing, a bat wing and a flower. The technique used to create the drawing was just lots of lines: thick, thin, long, short, intersecting and shapes. In simple words, I used fantasy objects to create the word. I love fantasy worlds so I decided to create one.
In this picture are two swords attached to a wooden board with a painting of another sword in the middle. The first two swords are wielded by the main character on an anime called Sword Art Online (SAO). The third sword is part of the logo of a guild in SAO called "The Knight of Bloodoath. Using parallel and wavy lines I was able to create the objects. By creating swords, it shows I have an interest in weapons.
